Harvest Family Church 2008 Vision
“Our primary purpose is to function as a Supernatural Local Church”
Pastor Tom Lanza
We believe that 2008 will be the year of the local church and Harvest Family Church wants to be in the center of this great move of God. Therefore it is important for us, as the local Body of Christ to have a keen understanding of what it means to be a Supernatural Local Church.
First, ministry within the walls of the church…
- We have a responsibility to teach and train believers from a Biblical perspective. Ephesians 4:12 says, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” In other words, preparing believers to work and minister in personal evangelism and as servants in the church, and to do this in unity.
- We must be a separated people, separated to God for the ministry of reconciliation, and to increase His kingdom.
- We must build up believers so that they are confident in whom they are as children of the living God, and they are equipped to accomplish His work.
- Our church has a responsibility to train the next generation for Him. Harvest is a family church and desires to minister to each family member and every generation until the return of Christ.
- This year will be a time of deep, heartfelt, praise and worship. We want to create an environment for the Holy Spirit’s tangible presence, a place where all believers can enter into His Holy Place.
- In 2008 we will meet the challenge of uncompromised teaching, focusing on the perfection of faith in God’s word so that each part of the Body can come into the spirit of excellence. It will be a year of personal spiritual growth for all of us.
Second, we must minister outside the walls of the church…
- God gives specific assignments to His church. He lays these assignments on the heart of the Pastor who, in turn, prepares the Body for the work. We must go with God’s assignment! Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” We cannot be successful until we move out into the world. The church must play its God assigned part.
- One way to “go to all the world” is through television production, From Texas USA, an inspirational country-gospel show that will be in production in 2008 will speak the Gospel through a casual and entertaining venue. From Texas USA, The Tom Lanza Show will touch hearts and turn people to Jesus using song, humor, and testimony.
- Walking In Victory is another television production. This will be a half-hour show that will be on five days a week. Walking In Victory will challenge the believer to have a faith in God’s word and in the work of Holy Spirit.
- The internet can be a vast and powerful tool for ministry. Harvest Family Church has a vision for a 24 hour a day internet ministry that includes teaching, music videos, and other means of communications.
